Top 2%: Another Year for the Books.

The North Fork School was reviewed by Cognia for its six-year accreditation in February, 2025.

In late August 2025, after Cognia has generated the Cognia Improvement Network Average for analyses evaluation, Performance Standards, Key Characteristics, and the Index of Education Quality® (IEQ), we will post a final report with benchmark data, based on all schools and systems that completed an Accreditation Engagement Review under the current Performance Standards (July 2022-June 2025).

In our exit interview, our evaluator reported that our IEQ of 323 (out of 375 potential points) places The North Fork School in the top 2% of all schools accredited internationally by Cognia.

In June of 2024, in preparation for our upcoming Cognia External Accreditation Review in March, 2025, The North Fork School distributed Stakeholder Surveys to current and alumni parents, current and alumni students, and current staff.

North Fork School student Performance Data consistently reveals a correlation between years spent in North Fork School classes and increased performance on national standardized assessments.

Seniors who have spent four or more years at The North Fork School are AP Scholars and McCall-Donnelly High School Valedictorians (2003, 2009, 2013) and Salutatorians (2013, 2014) of their McCall-Donnelly classes, as well as National Merit Finalists and semi-finalists (2005, 2009), and Academic All-Americans (2009).
